We have been continuing to build relationships with the local refugees. They are all so hospitable and generous in spite of the fact that they have next to nothing.

On Wednesday we walked around the community, and got invited into several different homes for refreshments. The one household knew only a couple words of English so we got by with Google translate and a lot of giggles over the fact of not understanding anything! The oldest woman in the house wouldn’t stop hugging me and saying a phrase that I didn’t understand. When it was translated to me, she was saying “I love you”, I love you”. Talk about tugging your heartstrings.???? The next house we went to was a brother and sister, they were able to speak english which was such a blessing! To put a face to the story of having to flee for your life because you are suspected to be a spy just because you work for a foreign company, or in another case the fact that you are a woman! Such unrighteousness! Later that day we got to stop and love on and share Jesus with a man who has been crippled from birth because of polio. We prayed for healing for his leg we didn’t see an immediate miracle. Why not?? I don’t know. But one thing I do know is I will not stop! I will keep pressing in because I know Jesus paid the price!

Thursday we went to a refugee school and were able to sit in class, and see where we might be able to help the teachers with their education. They then had us eat with them the most delicious bread and hot sweet milk with a little bit of tea. After that we went with a few of the women teachers to crash in on an Indonesian wedding! Apparently that is the normal thing to do in Indo if there’s a wedding, go greet the bride and groom and take a picture with them and then eat their food! It was delicious by the way and, gave us girls some bonding time!

Friday, us 3 girls went to the market with public transport by ourselves.?? to get food to cook an American meal for our new friends. We made mashed potatoes and chicken and green beans. It turned out weird with our limited utensils and ingredients but it was tasty, and we had sweet fellowship with them. After they left we had a couple neighbors stop by and we got to share our testimonies and talk about Jesus with the one guy.

Today we are planning on going and seeing a waterfall, it’s the last day that just us 5 will be here, tomorrow we will be joined by another expedition team, who are in their last month! So for our last week here we get to do ministry together!

I have been praying Colossians 1: 9-11 has been such a blessing to me lately.

Love you guys!
