  • Hi!!
  • I would like to take this opportunity to share with you what God has placed in my heart for this next season of my life!
  •
  • Let me give you a little history first!
  • Since I first heard that there was such a thing as foreign missions I have always been drawn to it. I remember as a young teenager devouring any magazine that had something to do with people leaving what they called home and going on a foreign field to serve, thinking, ‘One day I would love to do that!’

  • I did go to Liberia in 2009 for 10 months and it was completely different than I had envisioned. So many unexpected things! It was not easy and a huge learning curve in my life, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
  • After I came back I was satisfied to settle down for a while, I have worked quite a few different jobs just doing what the next thing was that came up, including cooking at a public school, childcare, and my current job is working at an assisted living home. All through these past 5 to 6 years I have had this restlessness that would pop up, like there’s more to life then just living the day to day here at home, having a job, etc. I would tell myself, “You can be a missionary right here at home. You don’t need to go overseas to share the gospel, be a light right where you are.” This is true and it was totally fine in it’s season.
  • Over the past year it has really intensified, but I would continue to tell myself, “just bloom where you are planted” and, “learn to be content where you are.” I was sharing some of these things with a very dear friend and she asked me if I’d heard of the World Race. I had seen this a year ago, and only briefly looked at it and said, “no that’s way to long of a commitment!” This time, my first thought was “No way, leave my job for 11 months!?” But I went and looked at it again, and there was no turning back. I realized this is what I want to do! It’s time to embrace my calling and go for it!
  • So what is the World Race exactly? It is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries (although my current route is scheduled for 12 countries!). It is part of a non profit organization called Adventures in Missions. What is so awesome about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch a generation into our specific kingdom calling! I will be with a group of up to 30 people. We will partner with local ministries, doing what Jesus commanded us to do in Matthew 10 and Matthew 28: to go and preach the gospel to all nations, heal the sick, raise the dead, and go into all the world baptizing them and making disciples.
  • So I am posting this to invite you to be a part of this with me! I am asking you to join with me in prayer, and financially, if you feel led to and want to be a part of this!
  • If you want to give financially please click on the donate button in my blog. It is very simple and goes directly into my fund! I will be going to training came in the middle of October I will need to have pretty much all my gear by that time. If someone wants to specifically help out in that area you can write me a check or do cash.
  • Thanks so much everyone!!
