This is the year. This is the year for me and many others that we take our next step in life. Whether that means college, starting a family, furthering your career, or traveling.
For me, The World Race is more than just traveling. When I tell people about my next adventure I don’t tell them I am ‘taking a year off’ and if I do, I normally correct myself. This trip is not a year off. I am not going to relax on foreign beaches and party. I am working hard to serve others and show them Jesus. But for me it goes further than that. I am also trying to figure out what my career in mission work would look like and how I can leave this trip and go into college knowing what I want to pursue.
This trip is something I have dreamed about doing, and I know some of the people I will encounter have dreamed about something bigger and more in their lives that my team and I can tell them about. His name is Jesus.
Ultimately this trip and my journey with fundraising and getting support is all in His hands. I may have stressed majorly in 2016, but this is a new year and I know God’s got me.
My prayer for you, my supporters, friends, and families, is that if you are struggling to trust Jesus in any aspect of your life, that you would surrender completely. God is a wonderful and POWERFUL maker. I would also ask you to open your hearts and pray to God about the idea of supporting me in some way. I would ask that you would take the leap of faith I and many others have taken and really invest in me and the work that I will be apart of this year.
To my fellow racers, man I love you guys. You are the ones that keep me passionate about this whole thing. You all make me excited for our future this year, and the many things we will get to do. You all challenge me to think deeper about things, and have helped me grow deeper in my faith in just the little time we have all known each other. I pray for each of you as we get nearer to our first deadline, and that the truth of GOD’S GOT THIS will continue to be in your mind as we all fundraise
