Zdravo! So excited to share our first adventure day with you! Each week we are given a rest day and an adventure day! Our adventure days are times we can spend exploring the culture, experiencing touristy things, and bonding with our team.
Our first day for adventuring was this past Saturday. We spent the morning prayer walking, then we went to one of the church staff’s homes to enjoy coffee, cake, fruit! (And her ADORABLE granddaughter)
Afterwards we made our way to the Canal, a place where many of the locals go to swim! It had been sweltering hot the previous days, but cooled off on our adventure day! We still went, and as you can tell, we had a blast.
The Canal is like a pool filled by the river, which is why it looks like a lake!We had invited some of our
local friends to join us, but by the time they got there, we were cold and had already gotten out! So we ended up walking back trying to avoid a thunderstorm!
