I’ve gotten many questions since preparing for and being on the world race about why we do what we do. Why would a bunch of broke 20-somethings raise $17,017 to live with basically nothing and travel the world for a year? My why is simple. It’s because Jesus told me to go. He told me to leave comfort behind to go fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel to his beloved people across the world. This month in Zimbabwe was such a reminder of why I’m doing this crazy thing called the world race. At the end of our incredible ministry this month, we received this letter from one of the girls who lived at the center we were working at… This my friends, is why my squad mates and I have put ourselves through all of the insanity of life on the race. It’s worth it because we get to impact people like T.

To The World Race Team,

It must have taken strength, boldness and courage, I guess. Going around the world fulfilling the work of God is no easy task but I must say I have been greatly inspired by you guys, the way you just gave all of you, putting your careers on edge just to do the will of God is just beautiful… However we have been brought together from all-over the world to connect and learn from each other… Truth be told its been a great honor to share this life journey with you guys… I don’t know about others, but as for me, hands up! You nailed me, I’m proud to say that I have been inspired to pick all the broken pieces and carry on with life focusing on Jesus the rock of ages and live to tell of his marvelous works and how he restored me. From the bottom of my spring of life, I LOVE YOU ALL. Hopefully we will meet again. Wish you all the best life can offer <3 <3 <3

*WE ARE OFFICIALLY MONTH TEN RACERS!! What what!! We have made it to Swaziland, and my team and I will be out in the bush this month for ministry. Access to WiFi is incredibly limited, so this will probably be my only blog update this month. Don’t worry though, I will keep writing and post all my updates when we get to South Africa at the end of the month.*
