Our final team change of the World Race happened just before we left Europe to come to Zimbabwe. So, dear supporters allow me to introduce you to the women I get the privilege of finishing the race with.
Zeal, a noun meaning great energy or enthusiasm in the pursuit of a cause or objective.

This is Abby. She’s a nurse from Johnson City, Tennessee. She’s a beautiful woman of the Lord, prayer warrior, and incredible lover of people. She carries the peace of the Lord everywhere she goes, and can often be found laughing hysterically. I’m so excited to learn and grow with her in these last three months of the race, as she was the first person I connected with way back at training camp last October.

This sweet woman is AnnaGrace, a graphic designer from good ole Houston, Texas. She’s an awesome artist, and fellow creative. She loves dogs and all things weird. She also somehow manages to always look fashionable while living out of a 65 liter pack. AnnaGrace has a huge heart and freely pours out the love and wisdom of the Lord on everyone she meets. Team Zeal just wouldn’t be complete without this incredible lady.

As some of you may remember, this is Caitlin, a history teacher from Rochester, New York. She was also on my last team, and I’m pumped to get to spend 7/11 months of the race with her. A foodie, (and avid appreciator of my cooking) she loves trying new things, cracking jokes, and anything that has to do with history or politics. It has been and continues to be such an immense blessing to get to learn and grow with her through this whole crazy experience.

Meet Hillary, a speech pathology major from Wheaton, Illinois. Hillary is someone I have been hoping to be on a team with since we were in a room together at launch, so I was pumped when it finally happened. She exudes the joy of the Lord, and can usually be found loving on the littlest nugs of the bunch (AKA the babies). Her go-getter attitude and life of the party style are perfect for breaking the ice in new relationships and diving right into the changes we go through every month.

Remember Joanna? She was on my team for the first four months of the race, and now the Lord is allowing us to finish the race together! She’s an English teacher from Colorado Springs,Colorado. She loves laughing, shortening words, and frequently uses the word dope. “You all are pretty dope humans.” Joanna sets a constant example of how to use ones giftings from the Lord well, and I have personally learned a ton simply by observing the way she lives and serves daily. I’m excited to finish the race with her as we saw each other through the messy beginning of the race, and now we get to finish together as two immensely different people.

Meet Mikayla, a graphic designer from Bozeman, Montana. She’s an avid adventure lover with a crazy, fun loving personality. She is yet another example of a life lived full of the joy of the Lord. I am pumped to have to opportunity to get to know her better as we grow, learn, and serve alongside one another in these next three months.
Together, these wonderful women and I make up team Zeal. The seven of us decided that one of the most important things we wanted to maintain in these final months of the World Race was to keep the enthusiasm we had for the kingdom’s cause in the beginning all the way through to the end of the 11 months, and ultimately into the rest of our lives.
Zeal for his purpose,
his ways,
his righteousness,
his people,
his nations,
his kingdom.
This is life on mission.
This is our purpose in this world.
