Dear family, friends, and strangers reading Danielle’s blog,
This blog was not written by Danielle, but by the other members of her team. As Team Themelios, we have been with Danielle since day one of her World Race journey. We have gotten to see her grow and serve the Lord in India, Nepal, Vietnam, and Cambodia. We wanted to take a moment to share with you how God is moving in and through Danielle`s life.
Sarah Patty – I have seen you learn to open up to us just like your community back home, and it has been great. I know leaving your community was hard, and it has been great to see you choose this team and create the community you are missing. I have seen you grow so much in leadership, and you have worked through a lot of challenges that come with leading a team through cultures that are foreign to you. I’ve seen you grow in patience and flexibility in the past four months. You have also done a great job of stepping up and sharing your spiritual wisdom with us, and take on a leadership role in that area as well. You have brought a lot of strength and knowledge to this team.
Sara- As leader of this team, Danielle has a way of seeing the big picture and not just the gritty details that may catch us up in the moment. She also sees people very well. She notices things about you and sees how God is working but also the lies that you may be believing and calls those out so you can address them and grow. You can see how she truly cares about you and sees your potential and calls you higher. This is such a wonderful trait of Danielle and one I would love to have.
Lindsey- Danielle is a fighter. I remember walking next to her during our fitness test way back in November at training camp, and even though it wasn’t an easy task she just kept pushing forward. She wouldn’t give up, no matter how badly she may have wanted to quit. That is a quality I have gotten to witness her grow in even more over the last four months. No matter what task or circumstance is thrown at her every month, she chooses to seek the Lord for guidance and strength to push through it. It has been such a privilege to serve alongside Danielle and to witness her courage, passion, dedication, and strength firsthand.
Joanna- Danielle loves Christmas, music, and cows. Seeing Danielle walk in Freedom and Truth has been such a beautiful picture of Jesus’ redemption and power! Just like Danielle had been been reminding herself that her voice is important, her openness and humility shows others know that their voices matter, too. Danielle has fearlessly led this team, and we are so thankful to have had her leadership as a foundational part of our World Race experience. I’m looking forward to seeing the joy of the Lord expressed through Danielle the remainder of this year!
Thank you to each person who has supported Danielle on this journey through prayer, encouragement, and donations. Our team would be lacking without Danielle’s presence.
