Before the night was over Roseanne mention that she had found us, a hostel and had booked it for us so we would be able to sleep in a little before church. She was going to have to wake up extra early and help set up at the church. Half of us decided to leave the party early to head over and get settled while Shannon, Molly and I stayed conversing with the new-found friends and of course Roseanne. An hour went by and we took a few pictures and then we were off. As the three of us were heading down the road we quickly realized we had gone out of an exit we hadn’t used in the dark. After a few wrong turns and so backtracking we quickly found the bus stop. While we waited for the specific bus Roseanne had given us direct instructions on when to get on and off, what roads to take, as well as when to turn. Shannon decided that she wanted a snack before being in from the night. It was now 10:45 at night and we were somewhat hesitant go, but the McDonald’s was literally right behind us and it was calling her name. Molly decided to wait for the bus while Shannon and I got ice cream and “nugs”, as Shan would say. We walked in to a decent sized line and proceeded to purchase our snacks. Running back outside Molly had held the bus for a few seconds while making our way over, we entered the sliding opening of the bus. We immediately started to double check to see if this truly was the buds to take us where we needed to go. The man not knowing as much English as we were led to believe had gotten frustrated in this attempt to understand basic information such as road names. Anyway, we were told by the bus driver we didn’t have the right bus and that the right was number so and so. We got off the and bus so and so rolls around 15 minutes later we enter the bus and come to find out the sad truth that the first bus had in fact been the right bus. That’s when we got hit with the second wave of bad news, all the buses all stop running at 11. We had no WIFI and no data outside of the USA, and we were a far way away from home. I couldn’t help but wonder how the Lord was going to get us out of this situation. At least I had one thing, I wasn’t hungry.

I took a second and prayed and I asked God to get us home safe. We started to come up with a plan, we first had the figure out how to get to WIFI. We started to walk back to the McDonald’s to sit and try to log back on to the WIFI. Shan was the only one who had the uber app but the WIFI at McDonald’s required a Singapore/Malaysia phone number. Back to square one we sat to further discuss what our slim options were. We prayed for wisdom then walked outside to get a taxi. As I hailed a taxi for us I couldn’t help but plea with God, let this be the taxi that takes me home. Molly was the first in, she immediately asked the taxi driver a series of questions. Once he assured us he knew were to take us. For the next 10 minutes, I waited in the back daydreaming about crawling into my newly made bed. Even though I was tired I was excited to see Rosanne and could celebrate Easter in Singapore.

Easter morning was the day that we had been anticipating being that it was the first Easter Roseanne would celebrate with other people outside of going to church. The six of us had woke up and started on our way to the church where we would meet her as she is very plugged into to her church. She had gone ahead and stared preparing for all the new arrivals as well as old who would be attaining this Sunday. The Sunday Jesus raised from the dead. The Friday before that Sunday (Good Friday) they gave a great sermon on how Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw the angels then turned to see Jesus and not recognizing Him, she asks Him if He had put the body somewhere. That’s when Jesus looks at her and calls her by name and she realizes at that moment it was Him. He knows all of us all by name and he calls all of us by name. with such a good sermon on Friday I was even more amped to hear “The Word”. We made it to the church and went start up to the top floor were “Kingdomcity” was at. Walking up I instantly made eye contact with a few of Roseanne’s friends from the night before. Now smiling cheek to cheek, we greeted each other and chatted about the plans we had for the day.

Roseanne came out to greet us as she came out I couldn’t help but affirm her in her choices of her Sunday best. She had already reserved our seats and walked us in. Along the way we greeted all the familiar faces. Church started and we all jammed out to worship the Lord, shouting, singing, dancing, hands lifted, jumping, crying, and whatever else you could think of was going on around me. I really let go of all the hardship we had faced the past 48 hours and praised the Lord for bring me to a place of abundance. At this point in my day it couldn’t have gotten any better. I was on cloud 9, the fact that I wasn’t sad I would be missing Easter with my family, that was a shock to me. I would be able to attend church like I normally do by the grace of God they spoke English, like normal my friend saved me a seat, and after my friends and I would go eat together. Even though I wasn’t home God blessed me with the things that were so familiar and dear to my heart. It was a little piece of home, and all I could do is thank my Father in heaven for blessing me.

There is a whole list of other stuff that day that went on after church, a lot crazier plans. We had to leave that day to go back to KL Malaysia. I want the rest of the day to be just for Roseanne and us. We all did a whole bunch of awesome things and by the end of the day I had made my first real friend that wasn’t on my squad and someone I know I would be seeing again. This time she has to come to America. Of course, she needs to finish her studying abroad in Australia for dance before. I’m so happy I got an opportunity to meet, pray, live with, and know this amazing woman of God. I learned a lot from you and I know you learned a different way to love from us. We all love you Roseanne, thank you for letting God use you to glorify himself and answer our prayer. You were our “women of peace” and Singapore wouldn’t have been the same without you. For real, I’m sure my team gets sick of me talking about that weekend. It felt so fast and so much happened but it could have been a month for the amount that I learned. God taught me a lot about letting go and trust Him, no matter what that looks like. To be patient in tribulation and constant in prayer.

We finally did make it back to KL Malaysia but that ends the weekend in Singapore. I’m still in in the mist of raising support and I want to ask you all to prayerfully consider donating so I can stay out on the field and be the hands and feet for Christ. Please help me to continue to do that by clicking on the donate button above or go to battle in prayer with me as I pray for each nation and country I’m in as well as the many different people groups I meet.

Shout out to my Dad, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!! Love you lots and lots, miss yah!
