Monday-Thursday: Ministry Days
• 6:30 a.m. Take a walk down to the river.
• 7:00 Have a quiet time (Read the Bible, journal, and rest in Jesus).
• 8:00 Eat breakfast which is usually grits or oatmeal. Put on ya skirt and get ready for the day.
• 9:00 Begin walk to ministry. Once we get to the village we go to different homesteads where we serve (wash clothes, dishes, and floors), share a word from the Bible, and pray for them.
• 12:30 Begin walk back to the base.
• 1:00 Take a break and eat lunch.
• 2:00-4:00 Manual labor at the base which recently has looked like crafting Christmas ornaments for “Africa 4 Jesus” to sell.
• 6:00 Eat dinner cooked by Mama Faith who makes the best food ever.
• 8:30 I go to sleep because I’m not a night owl
Friday: Rest Day/Sabbath
• Sleep in until 8:00 and eat breakfast.
• Go to the Malealea Lodge where the wifi is, call me mum, drink some joe at the caffee shap, and buy some “simba” chips and “dairy milk” chocolate.
• Be back at 6:00 for dinna
Saturday: Adventure Day
• Honestly the first week I was up in a rural village *read my previous blog* and the second week I used it as a rest day but this weekend we are going to the “Rock Springs.”
Sunday: Church
• 8:00 Eat breakfast and have quiet time.
• 11:00-2:00 Go to church
• 2:30 Eat some more of Mama Faiths amazing lunch.
• Chill the rest of the day until dinna at 6:00.
Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Much Love!
