MY NEW TEAM !
( Disclosure: This was written a month ago. I am posting this from Myanmar. The wifi was very limited )
This month in Thailand we had our first team change. Team changes are normal on the race and provide us the opportunity to work with different people within our squad. We get to do life with these people and establish raw community with each other.
Over the past 2 weeks, I got to bond with these beautiful women over coffee, food ( a lot of food), and through our adventures in Thailand. As I began to write about this team, I realized each girl possesses a specific characteristic of God that makes this team great! We are image bearers of Christ so we share some of his personality. There are so many that they share with him, but each one individually carries one that I believe stands out.
Let me introduce you to some of the funniest, wildest, fiercest, loving, and fabulous women I get to have the pleasure working with for the next couple months of the race.

Meet Rebecca – My Team Leader
Rebecca exhibits the PATIENCE of God
Rebecca is a sweet and loving woman of God. She has this confidence about her that comes from this intimate relationship with the Lord. She loves Jesus and wants others to come into knowing him. She is an amazing listener ! She takes a genuine interest in people and their hearts. She speaks in love and in truth. She serves without wanting anything in return. She does not waver in her love for others and for God. It’s beautiful. SHE IS SO REAL! She is hysterical and has one of the funniest instagram posts I’ve seen. I am so thankful she is my leader.
Her favorite food : Banana Pancakes
Her happy place: Library or Bookstore
What God has been teaching her : ” When I hear from the Lord, he’s been teaching me how to differentiate between the Holy Spirit, Jesus and the Father because they all speak to me in different ways.”
Meet Alisha!
Alisha exhibits the JOY of God
Alisha is hilarious. She has the joy of the Lord in her soul. She is confident in her faith and walks with so much grace, it’s effortless. She loves Jesus and has a passion to serve him wherever she goes. She loves life and enjoys every single moment of it. She stands firm in her faith, speaks with boldness about our God, and seeks to live a life pleasing to her Father. She is also my hypeman ! When her and I get excited about something ( which is all the time ) I can always count on her to reply with a ” Yesss,” or a “Paaareach girl !”
Her favorite food: Steak
Her happy place: A grassy hill overlooking a valley
What God has been teaching her: “What it looks like to have his kingdom written on my hands.”
Meet Molly!
Molly exhibits the JUSTICE of God
Molly is a passionate and loving woman of God. She can see a problem and find solutions to fix them. Nothing is impossible to her and that’s because at her core she knows that the Father has promised her that everything is possible through him. Molly is a fighter; She fights for people who are hurting, who need love, who need redemption and restoration. She loves justice and seeing it prevail. She is also fun and has a heart to serve others. She hears the Lord’s voice and wants to go deeper with him. I admire her ambition and her determination to make this world a better place.
Her favorite food: Baked Mac and Cheese
Her happy place: “Anywhere with a comfy chair, blanket, hot cup of coffee and a good book.”
What God has been teaching her: ” Jesus has been teaching me that he’s the Savior and ultimate victor over all things in this world. No matter how hopeless and chaotic this world gets. He’s already overcome it and because we are his children so have we.”
Meet Ariane!
Ariane exhibits the PEACE of God
Ariane exudes the peace of God. She is warm and inviting and doesn’t quench the spirit of God. She prays fervently. She seeks his face daily. She welcomes him with open arms to give her clear direction and guidance. Did I mention…? SHE ABSOLUTELY ADORES JESUS. It is intimate and sweet. She is his messenger too. Ariane has this ability to make you feel known and valuable just by a smile or a wink. I love her back rubs! She is so comforting. She communes with God intimately and seeks his approval over others. She has a heart for people and wants them to encounter God in beautiful ways.
Her favorite food: Salad … Caesar salad
Her happy place: In the presence of Jesus worshiping him
What God has been teaching her: “Trusting that God has my back no matter what.”
Meet Anna!
Anna exhibits the GRACE of GOD
Anna is a fun, loving and laid back woman of God. She extends her hand to anyone she knows. She has a genuine hunger for the Lord and longs for him at her core. She desires to learn more of who God is. I see the grace of God in Anna (Her name actually means “graceful one”). She is slow to speak, slow to anger and quick to listen to anyone. She forgives and let’s go of the things that hold her back. She is a woman who is confident in who she is and inspires other women to do the same. Anna was on my last team and I am so excited that her and I get to continue to do life together!
Her favorite food: Tacos
Her happy place: Basketball court
What God has been teaching her: “That he truly loves me.”
