This month I wanted to take the time to reach out to you all and ask how I could be praying for you. Yes you. You don’t even need to be a subscriber, just someone who happened to stumble upon this blog.

Something the Lord has been teaching me while being on the race is the importance and the power of prayer. It works everyone! Your prayers may not always be answered in the time you want them, but God listens to every single one of them… and he cares. It doesn’t matter how small you think they are, God delights in the prayers of his people. He wants to talk to us. He wants to listen to us. Why? Because he loves us. Answered prayer is a true testimony of God’s provision, love and mercy in our lives. It brings us joy and gives the author of our lives all the glory he deserves.

Here are some verses of what the Bible says about prayer:

Psalm 34:15– “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry.”

Psalm 5:3- “In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.”

Daniel 9:18 -” O my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations, and the city that is called by your name. For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy.”

1 John 5:14– “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”

James 5:16– “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”

I’ve seen many prayers answered during my time on the race, including my own. I’ve also had wonderful teammates rejoice with me in those answered prayers.

What is something you need prayer for right now?

Is it depression, addiction, marital problems, financial distress, a job you just applied for, your family, your church, a new business project, maybe a diet you just started, or maybe an upcoming mission trip you’re thinking about? Maybe it’s more. Maybe you’re wondering where your life is going right now and you need some direction. Did someone hurt you recently? Are you struggling to forgive whomever hurt you, past or present? Maybe you’re struggling with anger, bitterness or jealousy.  Maybe you’re getting married and are overwhelmed with the planning. Or maybe you’re just not sure that person is the one. Maybe you’re having a baby for the first time and are anxious about being a parent. Whatever it is, I want to be praying for you.

Perhaps, life is going really great right now. What’s something I can be celebrating with you in? A promotion! A new baby ! Maybe your finances are in order for the first time! Maybe you’ve overcome an addiction! Whatever it is, I want to thank God with you!

This is an invitation for all of you, to comment below, some of your prayer requests so that while I am on the field I can be praying for you…

 and ACTUALLY pray for you.

You are welcome to send me a prayer request anytime you like or a praise report of what God has been doing in your life.

So, tell me friend, how can I be praying for you ?

Blessings xoxo
