Last night I read through and did a devotional on Psalm 34 with Caitlin. Part of the devo was to reflect on the Psalm and on God’s gracious gifts to me. This lead me to my pen and journal.
Taste and See That the Lord is Good
(Inspired by Psalm 34)
“The Most High, all-knowing, and One true God has heard every one of my prayers.
When I demanded He show up “now” through tears of brokenness or anger he always answered.
Sometimes He answered by sending His Holy Spirit to comfort me.
Sometimes through a hug or kind word of a friend.
He has never failed me and always delivers me from my pain or trials.
Masks are not a thing with God.
I can’t hide from him like I used to hide from people here on earth.
Shame must flee, for in Him I am a new creation.
When I cried tears from the deepest parts of brokenness within, He was there holding me in His arms.
He sends an army of angels to catch my tears and form a wall of protection around me.
The more I seek His truth and light, the more I realize that I have all that I need.
He sees me running after Him with endurance.
He is with me when I’m in the darkest valleys and on the highest mountain top.
The Lord is near and never lets me forget that I’m His beloved, His daughter.
He protects me even in the times I don’t feel it.
My father in Heaven will forever be there with open arms to hold me.
He has rescued me then and will do the same today.
For he is constant yesterday, today, and forevermore.”
The same is true for you!
With lots of love,
Caleigh
