Happy Sunday everyone!
Month 10 of the Race we were in the beautiful country of Haiti. My team was working with Grace International. Their story is incredible, I’ll have to tell you in person sometime(: Anyways, the reason why I titled this month “a month of administration” is because as the team leader I had the honor to organize ministry for the team. Usually the ministry host has a schedule for the team as a whole, but this time it was different. After we got a tour of Grace International I got the idea that each teammate could have his/her own ministry in the morning and in the afternoon we would do ministry as a team. It took a lot of time and communication to fight for my team in this way, but it worked out and it was so worth it!
This is how the majority of our month looked like:
-Bethany and Derek: Radio/Social Media Ministry
-Mac: Clinic Ministry
-Lynna and Dosson: Administration
-Me and Thomas: Teaching English at the primary school
-Afternoon Ministry: English Club
Therefore, when you watch the video you sadly won’t see all the ministry activities and events. Since Thomas and I were hanging out with kids for most of the month, you’ll get to see many beautiful smiles! Side note- After a month of constantly teaching English, I have a new respect for teachers. I don’t know how they do it for years!
Lastly, please continue to pray for our safety as we continue to do ministry in the Dominican Republic. Satan is trying his best to stop us from sharing the gospel by making us fearful. It hasn’t worked yet because we are clinging to the promise God gave us- “perfect love casts out fear”. Instead of being afraid we are being persistent in deciding to love everyone, even those who point a gun at us or try to steal our belongings.
Thank you and enjoy the video of Haiti!
