Tomorrow is our official last day in Lesotho. I cannot believe it.

It seems like just yesterday our two teams were cramped in one van, traveling on the bumpiest roads, and watching the lightening storm roll in from the window. We had no clue where we got dropped off because it was so dark outside. All we could see were the outlines of the buildings and the million twinkling stars that covered the entire sky. Even though we had a long day of traveling from South Africa to Lesotho, I didn’t want to go to bed because the sky canvas God painted with the Milky way and other galaxies was indescribable! And the next morning all of our jaws dropped to the ground when we saw our new home in daylight. The mesmerizing sunrise illuminated the mighty mountains that surrounded us in every direction.

I can remember it like it was yesterday.

To celebrate being God’s vessels to bring His Kingdom to Malealea, Lesotho we decided to display our gratitude to our ministry host, his family, and his staff, because we couldn’t have done it without them.

Every Sunday we are entrusted the role of presenting the message in church. The first Sunday Thomas did a fantastic job at encouraging the church to use their spiritual gifts and last Sunday the B4A coordinators, Patricia and Bethany, did a wonderful job at serving the women in the congregation. This Sunday I will be leading both teams to vocalize our thankfulness. I am beyond excited!

I will be sharing a still raw and painful part of my testimony. The time when I found out Chelsea, my cousin (not by blood), my childhood role model passed away.

During her funeral I learned a very important lesson that I never want to forget. The importance of saying thank you. I learned this lesson when I heard the story of Eric, Chelsea’s older brother, quoting scripture to her after she passed away. He said, while looking over her in her hospital bed, “Well done, my good and faithful servant”.

When I heard this, I cried uncontrollably in the back of the church. I wanted so badly for my brother to say that to me when I passed away. More importantly, I wanted my Heavenly Father to say that to me when I see His face to face in Heaven.

I know that I am not the only person who wants to hear this, even if words of affirmations make many of us uncomfortable.

That was the lesson I learned. Vocalize your thankfulness to those around you, do not wait until it’s too late.

Therefore, this Sunday’s service is going to be centered on vocalizing our gratitude to the Africa 4 Jesus staff. Each staff member was chosen by a Racer and the Racer will be sharing their thankfulness through a personal story and encourage the staff member through a Bible verse!

I cannot wait to uplift them by loving them like God loves them! God is so pleased with their work, their lives and we are honored to celebrate them this Sunday!

Any form of support, prayers, donations, or potential mission trip, would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to specifically sponsor one of their preschool students, I believe, you can educate, cloth, and feed a child for an entire month through a $20 donation. They are absolutely adorable!

Thank you for taking time to read my blog!
