Tonight was the last night all five World Race Squads worshipped together under the same roof. We sang multiple songs, but one made my entire body weak – King of my Heart by Sarah McMillan.
My eyes were closed and my arms were raised. My passion grew as I sang the following lyrics:
“You are good, good oh
You are good, good oh…
You’re never gonna let,
Never gonna let me down
You’re never gonna let,
Never gonna let me down.”
I sang with confidence because I do believe and trust my God is good and He will never let me down. But then the worship leader said something which wrecked my perspective of God. She told us to just listen, listen to what God was telling us. Then she sang the same lyrics.
God was telling me that I am good and I will never let Him down.
What?! God should not be able to view me the same way I view Him! God is perfect and I am not.
But I am good in my Heavenly Father’s eyes and I will never let Him down. This is true for me and for you all. Isn’t that incredible?!
I will sing praises for the mercy and grace the King has for us, His sinful and redeemed children. Please join me in singing because our God deserves to be lifted high!
