So I have realized that I have not posted a blog in a little while. Here is an update of where I am at and what is going on.
My team has started a new ministry here in Ecuador. We are doing soccer ministry. Some of us are playing with the kids in practice and some of us have been working on videos and photos of the team. We work with 10-year-olds all the way to the men’s team.
We have also been working with an elderly home called Hogar. I never thought an all guys team would connect with the elderly, but we have become so attached to them and it will be hard to leave them. We get there around 9 am and help them do exercises and help them walk. Then we serve them there snacks and hang around with them for a couple of hours.
I am in my last week of ministry. I have 4 days left to minister to the soccer players and the elderly. I am also down to 4 people on my team. Tanner and Logan have decided to go home for personal reasons. We miss them a lot, but the Lord has called them to finish their race at home. Josh, Bradley, Garrett and I are going to finish out the race strong as Team Forge.
I am not going to be posting too many more blogs. If there is something specific you want me to write about, leave it in the comments and I would love to write about it. Also, I will be posting pictures of the race when I get home to my facebook. I am excited to get home and see everyone, but it is also going to be hard for me to leave my friends here. If you could pray for my last 2 weeks here in Ecuador and my transition home. Thank you all for following my race!
Exactly 2 weeks till I will be in the states! See you then!
