So if you didn’t know already, I am now in Quito, Ecuador. Travel days were long, and after 5 flights finally here. It was a great 4 months in Africa, but I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for the last 3 months of the race in South America.
The day we got here we started a thing called Awakening. This is a chance to get together with 2 other squads and spend some time in worship and other things. Getting to spend time with people from other squads has been so awesome and so refreshing. Nothing against my squad, but it’s nice to get to do some ministry with other people for a bit.
Today we went out into the city to evangelize. My group of 6 caught a bus and then walked a bit till we found this little restaurant. We walked inside to find nobody there but the owner of the restaurant. We sat down and bought some drinks and tried our best to speak to this guy in Spanish. Luckily, a girl I was with from the other gap year squad had been in South America for awhile so she knew some Spanish. So with her, my little Spanish, and google translate we had a cool conversation with him. Then we went and found a lady that was selling some bread. We bought bread to hand out at a local park, but nobody wanted the bread so we ended up eating it ourselves… lol.
Anyways, just giving a little update to what’s going on. Thank you for continued prayers for my journey here on the World Race.
