You know those times that you are out eating dinner and your kids ask, “when are we going home?”
Or those times that you are out on Vacation and you really love it, but by the end of the vacation you are ready to be home?

The first couple months of the race, I didn’t think of my ministry location/place where I would sleep and eat as home. In India, we called it “ICM” which stood for India Christian Ministries. In Nepal, we stayed at Deepak’s house, our ministry host, and we just called it Deepak’s house.

But the race started to change me and my perception of a home, to be more specific, my home.

Home- the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household.

I don’t completely agree with the dictionary definition.

After the first 2 months of the race, I started to look at my living situation as my home. The questions at ministry started to become, “when are we going home?” Even though we were only in Zimbabwe for a month.

And then I started to realize something about my life.
1. Home is where I worship the Lord, so anywhere can be my home
2. Home is so temporary
3. My eternal home is in Heaven

I love the song that has the lyrics, “Make your home in my heart, I will trust in you”

God, I pray that I can make my heart your home. I pray that I invite you in every single day and let you dwell in my heart. I declare there is no room for the enemy in my heart because you are living in it. I pray this over whoever may be reading. I pray that you enter their heart and make it your home. Amen.
