Coming back from Training Camp I knew I had to start going double-time on fundraising to meet my next deadline of $10,000. I know God is going to be faithful, but I also know He isn’t just going to give it to me. I had to get off my butt and not be lazy. So I put my brain together along with my parents and got to work! Here is what I am doing and what I will be doing until I leave September 6th.

So I knew I had to have some kind of going away party to say good bye to friends, family and supporters. Me and my parents planned ice cream social (thanks for the idea for it to be ice cream Zack and Kensli!). If you are reading this and wasn’t invited through facebook, you are invited right now!!
Here are the details:
Date: Saturday, August 5th
Address: Dakota Arms Apartments, Lubbock, Texas 79424
Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm
Cost: $10 admission fee
-There will be a raffle for a few items
-Ice cream, Snow cones, and pickles (weird combinations, right??)
-Music
-I will give a short sermon and further details about the trip

Come out and have some fun! Invite your family and friends as well!

Me and my dad also decided that we are going to sell breakfast burritos every Friday morning. The first 2 Friday’s we have done have been a success! We are selling them for $3 each, so if you would like to make a big order, we can deliver! My phone number will be down a little bit in the post.

The next thing that came to mind was selling snow cones outside of businesses, so I contacted Walmart and we sold them Sunday, July 30th. It didn’t go good AT ALL, we barely broke even, but I gained supporters and people praying for me!! These two people voluntarily asked if they could pray for me and my journey and I gladly accepted.

Along with those 3 fundraisers, I have been trying to pick up random jobs. I have met some amazing people through them and it has been a pleasure. I met a lady named Jeannine and got to share a little bit about what I am doing and she shared a little with me about her life.

Jeannine is a mom and a wife and she and her family have been missionaries too. They were actually in Mexico for 3 years doing mission work there. I enjoyed hearing her story as well as all that she is doing now. Yes, I did a job for her, but I also gained a supporter and person that is going to be praying for me while I am gone. That is what this is about.

If you have any yard work or random jobs that you could use me for, you can contact me at (806)224-5474. I will be available through the month of August!

Just wanted to update you all of what I am doing before I leave. If you would like to sit down and talk a little more in detail about my trip, just shoot me a text or call and I would love to meet with you!

Challenge for this post:
1. Read James 1 with a partner (by yourself if needed, but preferably with a partner).
2. Both of you summarize the passage out loud. then ask each other these questions…
3. What does this passage say about God?
4. What does this passage say about humans?
5. How can I apply this to my life?
6. Who am I going to share this with in the next week?
After you do this, keep your partner accountable for sharing. Accountability is key!

Last thing, I am taking prayer requests! If you have something, even if you think it is little, comment it down below and I will pray for you!

Subscribe if you haven’t already! Around a month until I leave, It is getting so close!
