Hello everyone!! It’s been something even just getting to the point of having my own personal blog, to finding a job which I was not sure was going to happen. I kept trying and soon I was able to get a job because God, I have to say it is good, and He has blessed me with people who pray for me. You all know who you are and thanks for those prayers. It has been a blessing.
Now, maybe I should have started with this but my name is Benjamin Christian Burdette. I am 17 years old and I live in a small town down in South Carolina. Growing up for me was very different than for most people considering the first maybe 3-5 years I was overseas with my parents. This was probably a huge reason for me to begin my exploration into overseas missions. I started by going to Haiti. I absolutely loved it and was determined to go again. I found it to be like a home. I find it funny how I can feel more at home away from home. Two years after my first trip I went back to Haiti. It was through these trips to Haiti that I discovered a calling to missionary work and have begun to pursue it. I love seeing and involving myself in other cultures were it may feel dangerous to others. I would love to understand the feelings of others as to be able to help people make it through tough times. I can’t wait to get started on this trip. Thanks to everyone who is and has already helped me meet the needs of this trip. I will see all of you who are in my squad and can’t wait to get to know all of you if possible.
