A giggler when told she is beautiful, a leaper for candy amongst the young ones, a dancer, the sweetest voice, a warm hug, & an angel of Bolivia!

Our home!

Hola friends! Thank you so much for your love, encouragement, and all the ways you have blessed me on this journey! Thank you for reading these blogs! In March, our team was in Uyuni, Bolivia partnering with an amazing family at their church. Pastor Rolondo and his wife Abigail are so kind, loving, and filled with God’s love. Uyuni is such a special town located right by the salt flats! This town made us feel right at home. The beautiful people and the sweetness of the town will be in my heart forever! Here is a list of the beautiful things God did and the beauty of Uyuni!
•Our team got to host a youth event at the church! This is the first youth event that has taken place in the church and it was such a joy to plan it and see it come to life! It all began by a woman sharing the idea at church and we thought it was the most amazing idea! MC, teammate and dear friend, prepared the invitations on the computer and then began printing tons upon tons of invitations to invite all the youth in Uyuni! Pastor Rolondo gave us gospel tracts to attach to the invitations. The next day, we headed to the schools and invited all the youth around! Then went around town to collect decorations and coordinate pizza and cupcakes at our favorite little place owned by our friend Lucia! Her first catering event! She is so amazing and her cupcakes are delicious! On the evening of the event, we played music, decorated, and practiced sermons and games. Our friend in town so generously came to translate and members of the church volunteeted to share their testimonies. Gabrielle came too! She was right there with the teenagers when it was time to catch candy in the air! I love her so much! That night, 50 teenagers came! 14 whom had yet to hear the gospel and stood to accept Jesus! It was the most beautiful night! So blessed to be part of that!
•Each evening, we would give sermons, lead bible studies, and sing songs in Spanish at church!
•I adored walking around Uyuni each day, listening to music, and exploring all around.
•Our little home was so sweet! It was an abandoned home given to us for the month, so blessed! We all slept together in the bedroom and decorated the home with flowers from the market, furniture from the junk yard, and paintings we made together!
•Our friends from our squad got to come visit and spend the night at our home when they came to visit the salt flats! It was so much fun!
•Meat Lane: Around 5:00 in the evening, the locals pull out many barbeques on the street by the carnival! This is my favorite place in town! My team giggles at me for naming it Meat Lane!
•Lucia: Our dear friend who owns a cupcake shop on the street by the carnival. She quickly became our friend as we came by each day! She is so kind and when she smiles it warms our hearts!
Gracias for reading all about our month in Uyuni! It truly was a home away from home!
