Luke 15:1-
” Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach. This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people-even eating with them!
So Jesus told them this story. “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep. In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God then over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!”
Hi friends! Thank you so much for tuning in to a week three update on the world race! India is beautiful and the villages are so special! This week we got to spend time with our little brothers and little sister, eat chicken coconut curry, laugh lots, visit villages for ministry, explore ancient ruins, and come face to face with wild monkeys! In our village, there are lots of shepherds and sheep and they remind me of this passage. This week, our team has been visiting villages each day to hold a church service in homes and in buildings. It is such a sweet time! We share a meal of curry together and thumbs up which is India’s version of Pepsi. 🙂 The people are so beautiful! More than my words could explain. The gospel is shared along with a message and a testimony and then there is prayer time and house visits.
Friday night was an amazing example of God’s love and relentless pursuit of his sheep. Prior to ministry, our team prayed for the evening and one of my teammates, Luke, felt the Lord speak to him to pray for five Hindi people and three people to be healed. It was incredible! After the service that evening, we were led to about five homes to pray for each family. In one home, there were five Hindu people! God is so amazing! As we moved down the street, we arrived at a home with three people who were asking for deliverance from demonic spirits. Three people! Wow, God is so incredible! I love how He gives specific instructions.
There was a husband and a wife who were malnourished and very stoic and scared. Their eyes were red and teary. It was so heartbreaking, yet you could feel God’s presence and His heart to regain His sheep, His children. There was also a man who was unable to walk.
Our friends from the city are visiting and staying with us this week! It has been so much fun! Our friend gave us encouraging advice that all we can do is be obedient to the Lord and follow after Him. Sometimes on the mission field, especially being on the move, we may not see the healing in our time there or the day someone receives Christ, yet we can trust that God is working and God loves us. It is really growing our faith!
Thank you so much for reading about our third week in India! That means the world to me!

                                                     Love always,
                                                        Bekah 🙂
