Hi y’all!
My name is Anna and I’m super stoked your interested enough to read my blog and find out more about my experience on the World Race. A little bit about me is that I’m from The Woodlands, Texas, and I am about to finish getting my accounting degree at Houston Baptist University. I am trusting that the Lord is going to help me overcome my Senioritis, so that I can actually graduate in December, and then begin my World Race Adventure in January! Basically most of my life has revolved around basketball. I just finished my college basketball career at HBU, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I have learned a lot from basketball and God has blessed me tremendously through the people I’ve met along the way.
I was raised in The Woodlands, Texas by my sweet parents, who I admire so much. I have one baby brother, Hayes, who use to be the biggest pest when we were growing up, but now I think he is literally the coolest kid ever. Lastly, can’t forget the most important family members, which include our two precious dogs, Jackie and Essie, and Aspen our horse.

My family hasn’t always had it easy but we have still been blessed beyond measure. My freshman year of college my father passed away of cancer. That was the hardest thing I have ever been through. My family stuck together and God was so faithful. My dad was a servant of the Lord, and made sure that we knew that his sufferings were for God’s greater purpose. Through the trials my family went through, I learned the hard way that our ultimate purpose here is to serve the Lord.
After all of my family history and a huge heart for travel, the Lord opened my eyes to the World Race (pretty last minute) but I couldn’t be more excited/nervous for this adventure!
