Goodbyes are hard. Personally I try to avoid them but I couldn’t run and hide from this one. I have to come face to face with it.
to my marg mates, I love yall. Wednesday nights won’t be the same. Our conversations were honest, funny, and vulnerable. One could blame it on all the margs but I’d say we liked each other enough to be ourselves.
Each goodbye takes a piece of you.
to zas and bev, the love I have for yall is indescribable. Yall have embraced me with open arms, never questioning my weird antics or opinionated ways. You said “yes” to it all. I’m glad to walk into life after college with the both of you.
some pieces sting because of how much you are going to miss that person.
to Yoder, your friendship makes me a better human being. You’ve been there through my darkest days and still stuck around. I love you more than I can express. Thank you for being my person.
goodbyes are inevitable and hard but when you leave to go exactly where you are meant to be, the pain of leaving is bearable.
to my family, you guys raised me and I owe yall more than words can ever express. Be strong. 11 months will fly by before yall know it.
Leaving sucks, just ask anyone. What makes it better is knowing that your destination is full of endless possibilities. The possibility for growth, for wonder, and for a life that’s worth living for.
Here’s to 2017 and it being filled with endless possibility.
