Here is a glimpse of what it looks like to hike the Camino de Santiago. The includes the scenery, animals, friendships, community meals, and lots of walking! This was a time to have deep spiritual conversations with my team and those on the trail as well as experience God and His beauty through creation!

Here are some sayings I thought of while reflecting on the Camino:

“Embrace the suck.” -Common Military Phrase

“One foot in front of the other and soon we will make it to the next town… and eventually Santiago.”

“Walk and talk, walk and talk, maybe eat and sleep and do it again.”

“Whats for dinner tonight?… Spaghetti. For the 6th night in a row.”

“Selfie with a trash kitty gets bonus points.”

“I’ve never been a Nebraska fan, but I am now. Go Huskers!” #NebraskaFamily

“Adventure is out there, you just have to make it while you walk.”

“Everyone is on a journey might as well enjoy it.”

“I love sleeping on bunk beds!”

“Enjoy the journey and discover the Way.”

This was a journey full of ups and downs, yet what I will remember is that I experienced God move in real ways. He is the WAY and being able to walk this trail day after day for 18 days I was able to experience more and more joy through the journey.
