This is most lastly likely the last blog post I will make before leaving on the World Race. This has been a crazy last month with many different trips. I am currently in Atlanta for 5 days of training finishing up final details before launch.

On July 18th me and 40 others headed down to Antigua, Guatemala to love the broken and share Jesus with them. Overall, we accomplished many things, but here are just a few.

-Built 7 Houses

-Visited 3 Orphanages

-Performed a skit at a Homeless Shelter

-Played soccer and sports with kids

-Went shopping and prayed for locals

-Had deep conversations and grew in our understanding of God

This was an amazing trip and I have to say we did not waste a second of time. From 7:00am wake ups to midnight bedtimes, we were constantly busy! I created a video to give you a little glimpse of what that was like.

Here are couple of the verses in the Bible that grabbed me this trip as we were working, playing, and sharing Jesus with people.

“Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

-Ephesians 5:16-20

As I was realizing how valuable my time is in Guatemala and in life, I realized that making the most of every opportunity to impact people is the most purposeful way to live. Being led by the Holy Spirit to who I am supposed to talk to and what I was supposed to share led to many hearing the Good News.

“Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others too.”

-Philippians 2:4

I realized the power of this verse as a young man on my building team, Matthew, started asking me questions. Normally I feel I am always the one asking and this time I felt like someone took an interest in me. It further inspired me to intentionally have conversations with those around me and to take a genuine interest in their lives.

“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the father means caring for orphans and widows int heir distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”

-James 1:27

This verse really impacted me as I was holding a little baby boy at the malnutrition center. I understood the abandonment and the loneliness, yet God cares for Him and He used us to do it. It was so cool to give love even a little baby and to see his little face light up.
