2017. The year we have been waiting for has finally arrived. We have been waiting for this year (the year the world race begins for us) for 3 years now. And although we are still in the preparation stage of this trip we have already been blown away by how faithful God is and how He works all around us.
Something we are learning through raising support and slowing gathering gear is that this adventure begins far before we actually step onto an airplane. Our biggest worry going into this trip was fundraising the seemingly impossible amount of money we have to raise but God has yet again showed us that if we are willing to let go and give Him control of our worries and fear, He can provide for us in unexpected ways. The support, both through finances and encouragement, that we have received from our families and friends and even strangers has been astonishing. Almost every day we look at each other and are in awe of how God is faithful and uses His people to support one another.
The greatest benefactor in all of this is that we feel that God is continually giving us the green light to GO. Over these next few months, instead of being worried and stressed about coming up with the funds to go, we can seek to better understand God’s heart for the cultures and people we are going to be in contact with.
So thank you. Thank you to each and every person and couple that has decided to support us in this incredible opportunity to go and share God’s love to the nations. We literally could not do it without and we are encouraged daily to know that you are behind us!
