Greetings, friends & family!! So sorry that I haven’t updated you all in a little while! I have been getting settled in nicely with my new team in Vietnam, and wanted to introduce you all to the people I will be doing ministry with this month. I guarantee they will put a smile on your face!!
Let’s start with the littles:
This is Carrot. She is probably one of the cutest nuggets I’ve ever seen in my life. And yes, her name really is Carrot!! I think she may have a future modeling career in the works. She is also one of the most calm, well-behaved kids at the daycare. She loves to eat!
This is Baby. Well at least her nickname in Vietnamese translates to Baby in English. She is one of the smallest of the bunch, but she’s got an insanely loud voice. She is also very smart & can sing along to all the songs on the TV!
This is Ahn. He loves to play with legos & blocks. Also notorious to hit and bite those who steal his toys. We are working on that one.
This is Mickey! As you can tell from the photo, she’s got a pretty sassy personality. We love to see her smile though!
Last, but certainly not least, is baby Ken. He is a crowd favorite mostly because of his lone two teeth on his bottom jaw. Catching him at a happy moment is pretty tough to do because he cries for 3/4 of the day. His favorite thing to do is watch cartoons!
Now for the bigger kiddos:
This is Bean! Our first day at the center was his 4th day, and he did not like us very much. But, thankfully, he has warmed up to a couple of people on the team and even plays with us sometimes!
This is Long. He LOVES Diana, and that’s a good thing because Diana loves him! He is baby Ken’s older brother, and they always show up to daycare in matching outfits!! Super adorable.
This is Su. She is very quiet and very shy. But after being there for a week, she has become a little bit more comfortable with us! She reminds me so much of the characters from Whoville!!
This is Sukah. She is one of my favorite kiddos at daycare. In the mornings she is very tired, and loves nothing more than to snuggle in your lap. Once she wakes up a little bit, she loves to play! She is also getting very good a reciting the English words we are teaching the class.
This is Bom, and he is my favorite nug at daycare. Bom has a digestive problem that makes him throw up nearly all his food at each meal. Because of that he is very small for his age. But that doesn’t stop him from being spunky & a (kind of) troublemaker. He’s the best; I love him.
This is Loung. His parents are believers! Praise God!! He has so much personality, and loves to play with cars and trucks. He is always running around in a make believe world fighting off some sort of villain. Look at that sweet face!
This is Euey. I chose this photo because it is the most accurate representation of who this big little guy is. He is so laid back & very much okay on his own for most of the day. Much like Bean, he didn’t like the Western teachers very much the first day we were here. But we are growing on him! He let me sit by him at breakfast last week!
This is Wong. He is so smart!! He has such an active imagination and is also so so good at English. He has so much energy all the time, and one of his favorite games is playing tag (aka me chasing him and a couple other boys around in circles). He is Mickey’s older brother. Can you see the resemblance?
Well, that’s all for now. Be praying for each one of these kiddos this month as we get to be the tangible hands & feet of Jesus to them & their families.
And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. -Matthew 18:3
