First off let me tell you how much I miss you. Every single day things happen that I wish I could call and tell you about. God is doing so much in my heart and in my life…I wish you could be a part of it.
If I’m honest it’s been really hard for me to let you go. It’s been hard for me to watch your lives from a distance. It’s been hard for me to not be there to hug you in the sad times, and celebrate with you in the joyful ones. It’s been hard for me to give up the role that I’ve played in your life thus far, and to trust that God will fill that void.
I want you to know that God has you right where you are for a purpose. He hasn’t forgotten you or left you behind in His master plan. He doesn’t do anything by accident. Press in.
Don’t compare your life to mine. Don’t think that just because you aren’t halfway across the world that God isn’t trying to use you daily. Don’t believe the lie that you have to be living the life I’m living in order to make a difference. All it takes is a daily YES to his agenda for your life.
I want you to know that I am praying for you. Every day I thank God for placing you in my life. I pray that He is speaking to your hearts about the dreams He has for you. I pray that you know that He isn’t done with you yet. I pray that your heart is open to his beckoning call, and that you answer his gentle whisper to come closer to Him.
I’m here to tell you that if you ever miss me or wish that I was there to give you advice or a hug…run to the Lord in those moments. He is the best advice giver, his Spirit is the ultimate comforter, and He is the only person who will ALWAYS be right by your side when you need Him. At the end of the day, you don’t need more of me. You need more of Him.
He is the one who equips you. He is the one who calls you. He is the one who dreams big things for your life even when you aren’t dreaming for yourself. He is the one who walks with you through the mountain tops and the valley lows of life. He is the only perfect representation of love we will ever know this side of eternity.
So take courage: even when I am far away, He is close. And his is all you’ll ever need.
