After a month of no blogs, here are 2 in a row! 🙂
Let me start by saying THANK YOU! I am over half way to my first fundraising deadline, which isn’t until September. Also, all of the encouraging words and prayers have been such a blessing!
Updates:
1. The Adopt-a-Jar fundraiser was a big hit (I still have 1 continent to be adopted and can always make more jars if you are interested)! This is not only important to me financially, it also means that all of the countries are being covered in prayers which makes me so happy!
2. Roma’s Pizza did a fundraiser for me and a lot of you attended so thanks to Roma’s and to all of you who ate pizza for a good cause! 🙂
3. I have purchased 4 major pieces of gear! I now am the proud owner of my day pack, my big pack, a tent, and my sleeping bag (thanks, mom!).
Tshirts:
I have been working with Fund the Nations to design a shirt to sell to raise support for my trip! It is $20 (+$2 for 2XL and 3XL) with half of the proceeds coming towards my trip. If you are a friend that lives far, just add $7 and I’ll ship it to you! I will take orders for the next couple of weeks and then place them all together. You can pay me with cash or check or you can submit the money through my blog! Just let me know the size that you need!
I will be putting in the first batch of orders in on April 15 and then will deliver/ship them at the beginning of May.
Prayer Cards/Magnets:
Prayer Cards are 50 cents. They have the list of countries on my route and prayer requests on the back. These are a great way to remind you to pray for these countries!
The prayer card is available in the form of a magnet. This is the size of a business card and will only show the front of the prayer card. These are $2.00.
