Hey y’all!
Wow, month 9 is over and only 2 months remain. This month has been INCREDIBLE!
Zimbabwe has been my favorite month of the race so far, there is something about these people and this place that makes me want to stay.
We have been working with Bulawayo Baptist Church (BBC) here in ZIM and loving it! The Lord has been at work in MIGHTY ways this month through our holiday clubs (better referred to as VBS in the states). My teammates have been small group/game leaders for the clubs and I had the privilege of being an “MC” with the Kids Minister at BBC, Sheppard. I also got to help lead worship (just motions, no singing so no cause for alarm – ha!)
The first week we hosted a 5 day program and had 600 kids attend and 87 make decisions for Christ! It was a week full of pouring into the same kids day after day while also welcoming some new ones as the week went on.
Our second week we took the holiday clubs out to the rural areas and put on a one day program at the local schools. At our first club we have 675 kids come – yes, I typed that correctly – 675!!! They all heard the name of Jesus and many of them made decisions to follow him. Our second club was our last day in ZIM – we welcomed a little over 200 kiddos and bowed out before the end of the day.

The Lord is moving here in ZIM and we were so lucky to be a part of it all. I’m currently traveling to Haiti (with a 16 hour layover in NYC where I got to see my Daddy-O – whoop!) and we are looking forward to our last 2 months.
