I have spent the last four days in the great country of Canada.  We stopped here on the way to India to have sessions on leadership development and take some time to rest after our incredible adventure in Ecuador.  We have been staying in Pickering, which is a suburb of Toronto.  I must say Canada is almost completely identical to the United States in every way.  It’s like the rip off, generic brand of the U.S.  I really have enjoyed and cherished this rest period on our Race.  It has been fantastic having the entire squad together again and collectively sharing in our excitement for what is in store in a few days.

In any event, we depart for India tomorrow, which is a crazy thought.  A year ago I had no idea any of this would happen.  A year ago I was sitting on my bed listening to foreign music, day-dreaming I was somewhere else.  India was a country that would often come up in my thoughts and day-dreams.  I had considered many times potentially traveling there on a missions trip, perhaps to Hyderabad, or Mumbai, or maybe Calcutta.  Here I am one year later, getting ready to travel to that magnificent country for three months.  I have no idea what our ministry will look like, or even the name of the place we’re going, but it is super exciting to me!  Please be in prayer though as our hearts and minds are prepared for this next leg of our journey.  Also be in prayer as we travel.

Last thing, we were recently informed of a huge change in our India plans.  Our original route was to take us to the Manipur District in far eastern India, but due to political unrest in the region we have been forced to move elsewhere.  The funny thing is we have no idea where that is.  We do know that we are no longer having an all-squad three months.  The ministry we will be working with has split the entire squad up into four groups of two teams each, and they’re sending us to four different villages.  Again we have no idea where.  My team (Collective Pursuit) will be joined with the team named The Front Line; consisiting of seven marvelous men and women of God. Keep both teams in your prayers!  See ya in India!
