Bulawayo had so many interesting experiences for me…

During our last week I decided to get another haircut since I really liked my barber here. I headed into town and did my errands. As I tried to catch a ride home I ended up hitching a ride with an unmarked taxi. Both guys in the car were friendly, but the passenger sparked up a conversation.

“You aren’t from around here, eh”.

“No, I’m not.”

“Where are you from?”

“I’m from America.”

“Were you born and raised there?”

“Yes, I was.”

“What are you doing here in Bulawayo?”

“I’ve been here telling people about Jesus.”

Both the passenger and the driver chuckled. “How has that been going for you?”

“It’s going well! People are nice and receptive. They are willing to talk and that is half the battle.”

“They talk so they can debate the teaching.”

“Hm, that really hasn’t been my experience since I’ve been here.”

“So then what are you telling them?”

“I’m telling them how Jesus has personally changed my life. Truly that is what makes a witness. I am not a person who debates on the Bible. I don’t have all the needed theological background to hold my own in a conversation of that nature. All that is left is to share my life and no one can debate that Truth. No one can debate the Truth I have experienced by letting Holy Spirit lead my life”.

The guy was stumped. He simply knodded as he became lost in his thoughts.

God has blessed each and every one of us. He has given us a beautiful testimony to share about how each of us have become friends with Him. He has created that love story of our lives so that we can experience His pursuit of our hearts and souls, but also so that we can share that story with others.

Don’t hesitate to share that love story with someone. You might just save someone’s life by sharing, or better yet, their soul.
