The World Race is a Christian mission trip that spans 11 months and usually to 11 countries around the world, but the route I’ve chosen is unlike any other Race route in history. For the first time, we will share Jesus with the entire continent of South America. It will cover more countries than any past route – traversing all 12 countries in South America, plus French Guiana.
One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip, but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I will be taking this journey with a group of amazing young adults within the ages of 21-35 from around the country and around the world. I have already started to meet them on Facebook, I’ve had the opportunity to read their blogs, and I have already experienced their energy and passion for what we are about to do together and I am in awe and blessed to be a part of such an amazing team! I will be sure to take and share many pictures of us all, with their permission, while at training camp in 2 weeks.
As amazing as this all sounds, I will face many challenges all throughout the World Race. But as I prepare for my departure, one of my greatest challenges is my financial support. Like most other missions organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. In order to leave fully funded on August 4th, I need to raise $17,417. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the 11 months of the trip. But, due to the timing of my application and acceptance, my first deadline is extremely tight. I have to raise $5,000 by next week Friday. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you prayerfully consider joining me at $50 monthly or some other amount?
