The journey of the World Race starts well before you step onto that plane. It’s starts the second the you say yes to that tugging at your heart. The tugging begins to feel like a swell within you. Your heart starts to beat faster and adrenaline starts to race.
“I just agreed to leave everyone and everything behind”….
In the last weeks God has already started to stretch and grow me. I have to admit, even though I haven’t left yet, this is already the hardest journey I have ever taken in my life. I’ve learned more about trust and faith in the last month than I have learned in my whole life. But I have also experienced joy, peace, kindness, love, blessings, and unending faithfulness. I am beginning to see God move mountains!
Here’s the thing…
I’ve told people how much money I need to raise and with some I see defeat flash across their face. I see pity in their eyes. I see discouragement. But I wonder, when you imagine God, how do you see Him? I used to imagine God as the man walking next me. And even though that is correct in the way that God sent Jesus down to this earth, God Himself in reality is BIG! He is HUGE! He is so amazingly uncontainable that He can hold not just our world, but our whole UNIVERSE in the palm of His hand! So, even though this amount seems like a mountain of money to us, it is nothing but a speck under His finger nail that He is already moving through us as a support team.
“The evidence is all around. The Spirit of the Lord is here!”
Let’s break this down…
If 55 people donated $100 monthly for 3 months, this mountain will have vanished in thin air. When you look at like that, it’s not so bad. So how can you financially join this journey?
– 5 supporters to donate $100 per month from July through January ($3000)
– 10 supporters to donate $50 per month from July through January ($3000)
– 15 supporters to donate $30 per month from July through January ($2700)
– 20 supporters to donate $20 per month from July through January ($2400)
– 25 supporters to donate $10 per month from July through January ($1500)
– 35 supporters to donate $5 per month from July through January ($900)
As you can see above, every little bit helps! I value even the person that gives 50 cents. So, don’t be deterred, discouraged, or intimidated by this goal. Take this step of faith with me and then sit back in Awe of Him and watch Him move.
