I’m Rashidat Olabisi Almeda Tanica Abesha Esther Odeyemi. Yep, that’s actually my whole name! My mother chose to uphold the naming tradition from my father’s Nigerian tribe… fun fact I thought I’d share…
Here are 10 basics about me:
- I’m 32 years old, birthday is March 22nd, single, no children, and the youngest of 3.
- I am such a foodie! And my favorite snack is popcorn made on the stove. Where is the best place to get your favorite dish? I’ll be over for dinner!
- I love to dance, in particular Chicago style Steppin’, listen to music, and sing.
- My favorite colors are currently Teal and Royal blue.
- I’ve lived in 6 different states and 1 other country, but I call Atlanta my home because that is where I surrendered fully to Him and found an amazing church home that has taught me how to live a Godly life, rather than just a good life.
- I love people especially to play a game of Spoons or Headbands, but I enjoy my alone time as well.
- My friends and family would describe me tough, but has a big heart.
- I’m passionate about people, but I love children and I love traveling.
- I gave my life to Christ in my car one day when my practical mind finally realized that doing life the world’s way was stupid and was not getting me where I wanted to be. That day I went from being a “Christian” to letting go of the wheel and moving to passenger seat. I’ve been abundantly blessed ever since!
- Why am I doing the World Race? Because I prayed heavily for a change in my life and this is what God responded with as the answer. I’m excited to be obedient and for the adventure ahead. There is never a dull moment when you are REALLY & TRULY down with God!
