Seeds of Unconditional Love (SOUL Cambodia) is an organization that our host Thyvenn started. The vision of this organization is to take the uneducated, and often malnourished children of poor families and communities, and move them to a place where they can attend school, learn Khmer English, and have three healthy meals a day.

The organization works with three different orphanages in which the children are placed. The children have a mom and a dad that love them like they are their own. It has been a pleasure to see how joy-filled and loving these homes are.
Over the past week, we have been extremely busy. Our days are long, but are filled with so much laughter. We have been able to spend ample amounts of time with these children. We have played many traditional games as it is the Cambodian New Year. We have had dance parties and baby powder fights.
They have brought so much joy into our lives. They have made us realize that even though life might be hard, there is still so much good in the world. Most of these children have hard pasts and still don’t have everything that we have, but they are blessed. They are safe and loved and that is all we need in this life.
It has been a blessing to be able to see this side of sponsor children. It is cool to see that these organizations are making a difference and while they can’t change the world, they have changed the world of these children.These kids have all been rescued from human trafficking by an organization called In Better Hands. While you may not have donated directly to these children, you have helped make a difference by supporting me and for that I am forever thankful. These kids have been able to see new faces and know that they are cared for by more than their house parents. They are cared for by so many more people and more importantly they are seen by our Heavenly Father.
While I am here to teach them, they have taught me so much more in just one week. I am incredibly blessed and loved and that is all I need in this world!
