Today marks the final day on the field. Final day of debrief and final full day in Africa! Tomorrow we board a plane in Joberg for home and 45+ hours later I will land in the PNW!
Home is such a foreign concept as I can say that home has been many places over the past 11 months. Home no longer is a location but a special place in my heart where new and old friends come and go through it. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to love hundreds of people and declare the good news of Jesus around the world. I head back to the states with a heart full of love for God’s people and this epic life God calls us to live. It’s an incredible feeling to be loved and to love others.
As I head back to my first home and transition back into family life I look forward to loving the people who got me started in this world and helped shape who I am today.
Guys I’m headed home and it’s a surreal feeling! I’ve been in a constant state of giddy as I think about the people and places I get to see and spend time with while home. I’ve been dreaming of Cannon Beach the entire race. 😉
The Lord has been so faithful to prepare my heart and mind for home and I can truly say that I’ve ended my race well and it’s time to come home. It’s time to come home and share all of the lessons, growth, and blessings the Lord has given me over these 11 months!
THANK YOU for being a part of my 11n11 journey and following along! I hope that through sharing stories and pictures you will have gotten a taste of what God called me to over the past 11 months!
Cheers my friends! I’m headed home and will hopefully be seeing many of you soon!
If you are in the Vancouver area on the night of December 15th I will be having a little gathering where I get to share about the race and would LOVE for you to be there. Details for this should be sent out soon, but if you have any questions please email me at [email protected]!
Next blog will be from the States!
Until Next Time,
Michelle
