Namaste!
I don’t even know where to begin with writing my first update about India so I will just dive right in and hope that my words can reflect all that God is doing!
At first, our team Ahava Chara was supposed to be in Nalgonda, church planting with two other teams, however, our first day into being in Hyderabad, our leadership team let us know that our team was headed to Ongole, India to partner in village ministry.
Flexibility was a word God specifically laid on my heart during launch, and so having our ministry location change month one was actually really exciting because I knew God wanted us somewhere else. Ongole is EXACTLY where God wanted team Ahava Chara. I can’t even put into words how perfect our placement is.
Our team heads out every day at 4pm (some days at 3pm to get some ice cream) to head to a village where we spend the first few hours visiting homes and praying over the members of the village. We then head back to the church were we lead the children in singing bible action songs, which takes me back to my Sunday school days! We then sing two to three worship songs with Katie leading us on the guitar. Each night a different team member gets up and shares a part of their testimony and then preaches a sermon. We then conclude our time at the village’s church with praying over members of the congregation and then sharing a delicious meal at the pastor’s house. We eat the same meal of chapatti and chicken curry every night at the pastor’s house and it never gets old! Indian food is seriously out of this world AMAZING!
Since being in India God continues to declare His glory and goodness in my life along with my teammates lives and all of the people we come into contact with. Though I am halfway around the world and in such an opposite culture than our Western culture, God is still the same God and He is moving in India. It is exciting to come alongside ICM and our ministry host and declare God’s presence in the villages and to pray blessings over the pastor’s congregations and to pray for God to reveal himself over those who are not saved.
Guys, Jesus is REAL and is working in some really MIGHTY ways in India and I am beyond blessed to be here taking part in bringing God’s kingdom and the message of freedom in Christ to these brothers and sisters who have never heard of our good good father.
There is a lot of spiritual warfare here in Ongole and India as a whole, so please pray for God’s presence to be declared and that our hearts and the hearts of believers all over India would be protected. Please pray for salvation for those that do not know Jesus.
It’s happening friends and supporters!! You have faithfully prayed and supported me through out this past year and now I am HERE in INDIA proclaiming God’s glory and truth!
