This past month, I set a lofty goal of raising an additional 40% for the World Race, which calculated out to be $6807. I felt God asking me the question: “How much do you really trust me?” I decided to go for it and trust that God would provide exactly $6807 in the month of July.
About halfway through July, I found myself discouraged and anxious because only $1000 had been raised and I was nowhere near my goal. In that moment of weakness and doubting God’s promise of provision, I heard him yet again ask me: “How much do you really trust me?”
Today is August 2nd and two days ago, on the last day of July, I received the final $767 needed to meet my goal of $6807. In the final week of July, God literally moved mountains and provided exactly what He promised, 40%.
What I find incredible about this story is that even through I doubted God’s power to provide, He still did. God provided exactly $6807 in the month of July. Even though I lost hope and was anxious, He faithfully provided and walked alongside me.
Friends God doesn’t work on our own timing or agenda, but has a greater plan for each one of our lives. For me, it was proving that He is faithful even when I doubt Him. I have learned a new level of trust and commitment to God and I am excited to continue to be stretched and refined as God continues to teach me what it means to walk in trust with Him daily.
So, with great EXCITEMENT I am overjoyed to announce that I only have $6,000 more to raise for the World Race, until I am fully funded!!
What does this mean for the month of August? It means I am fully trusting in a faithful God that has already gone before me and is providing the final $6,000 in the month of August!
