Going into month 11, I’m thinking a lot about how to start explaining this incredible, life changing journey to people back home. I’m starting to view “The Race,” as climbing a pretty difficult mountain. You begin the hike off strong; but then, out of nowhere, it starts getting harder and you begin to question if this “hike” was a good idea or not. But then you come across a “waterfall or something really amazing” and just are in awe of God’s creation; of all that He’s doing in your life. Before you know it, you’re halfway up and you either decide to keep pushing through or desend back down to the bottom (who you were.) You continue to climb and before you know it, you’re at the top – a whole new person with a new perspective! You endured some bumps and bruises along the way, but it gave you more character, it shaped and molded you to where God is calling you to be. I’m not the woman I was 10 months ago and “the Race,” is not my “peak” or the epitome of who I’m supposed to be. This is just the beginning of another chapter in this incredible life God has blessed me with! I have dreams and a purpose in this life that extend beyond “the Race!” Thank You Abba for being my Compass on this “hike;” the start of many other hikes I’ll have in my life!

Thanks Paul for the photo cred!
