Yes, of course I am referring to hospital visits while on the Race! My last full day in Vietnam, I went to the hospital because I had been feeling horrble for a couple of days and was getting worse.

My symptoms were awesome:

a cough, fever, sweats, chills, nausea, loss of appetite, a pounding headache, earaches in both ears

Dr. in Vietnam said it was a Viral Infection, unspecified and gave me medicine for it along with an IV of something.

(picture coming soon!)

Days go by, I arrive in Cambodia, still feel awful. My fever was averaging between 100-102 F. I don’t do well being sick, let alone being sick halfway around the world away from my mom and mom-mom who are the best caretakers for me when I’m sick (because they’re pretty much the only people I allow to take care of me.) However, my amazing teammates stepped up and I allowed them to take care of me! THEY ARE THE BEST!

I go back to the hospital, this time in Cambodia. My Squad Leader, Lo joined me. They did blood work, realized it was a Bacterial infection and the Dr. said I needed an IV fusion. 5 rounds of fluids/medications. We were there for hours. Then the Dr. said return the next day for another round of an IV fusion. I’m not entirely sure what was in those fluids, but by the time I left the hospital the 2nd day, I was actually feeling like myself!

PRAISE God!

Now, enjoy the fun hospital pictures!
