Howdy! Happy March everyone! I am once again writing for while I am galavanting around the mountains in Pokhara hanging out in the villages.
This blog is going to be about an experience we had on Monday, 2/20! During our “Amad” time that day we were told to pray, specifically for women who work the streets if you catch my drift. We then were to paint a picture that God put in our brains while praying. Immediately God revealed to me what He wanted me to paint! I saw darkness all around, then an open door came into view. The darkness by the door was lighter, the darkness could not pierce the door. Looking through the door was a bright, blue sky with white puffy clouds. I saw this all as a picture for life. “No matter how much of a tough trial you are going through; however dark it may seem around you, there will ALWAYS be a door open to you with light and filled with Christ!”

Our task for outreach that day was to go out in 2’s and 3’s and find a woman to give your picture to. The first stop my group went to, I did not feel led to give my picture to anyone. I was praying for God and the Holy Spirit to make it obvious, who I was supposed to give it to. After 15 minutes at the first stop, we moved to the second stop.
At the second stop, most of the group had to go to the bathroom; and so I just continued to pray and look around for my woman. I spotted a woman standing by herself on a second story balcony at the “mall” we were stopped outside of. I told myself, okay, if she is still there when the translator comes out of the bathroom, then I will go and talk to her and present her with the picture.
A few minutes went by and the translator came out of the bathroom so I asked her to come upstairs with me just in case the woman didn’t know English. We climbed the stairs and I greeted the woman (couldn’t tell if she was my age, older or younger), and asked if she knew English. She didn’t respond, so I looked to the translator who asked her in Nepali. The woman said yes (with that Indian Head Bobble so you never know how much “English” she may know.) I then introduced myself and told her I felt God wanted me to come up and talk to her. I asked if she knew who God and Jesus are, she said yes. I then asked if she was Christian and she said no. I then explained to her that God loves her so much, He is “Captivated” by her and just desires to have a relationship with her. I said that when I was praying to God that morning, He gave me that picture in my head that I drew and I explained to her what the picture meant. I then explained that I felt that God wanted me to give her the picture. She accepted it, which was awesome. I then asked if I could pray for her and she said yes! I hope someday she accepts Jesus into her heart and we can meet and rejoice in Heaven!
