Greetings to my brothers and sisters around the world!

I am writing my blogs in a somewhat random order. I started writing my TC (training camp) blog; however, I found out I will be PREACHING about TC NEXT SUNDAY (11/13) at my church at both services; 8:30am and 11am, so I did not want to give away all of the details before my sermon! (Here is my church’s address: Scottsville United Methodist Church 2400 Brownsville Road, Langhorne, Pa 19053. I would LOVE to see anyone come out to see me preach!)

Since my TC blog is in the works still, I decided to move ahead and introduce y’all to my wonderful team, “It Is Goode!”

Me, Rachel Stewart, Klancy Baker, Jordan King, Abby Thornburg, Janet Heismann

I will begin my WR journey with these ladies for the first few countries! We are to LAND IN HYDERABAD, INDIA ON JANUARY 12TH! It’s getting really real y’all! I wanted to take a few minutes and introduce my teammates to you!

First I’ll let you know how our team name, “It Is Goode,” was picked. The night we found out about our teams was the night we were able to go “off the campsite,” and bond as a team. We of course decided to go to Starbucks and then a southern pizza chain called, “Mellow Mushroom!” At 7pm we were told to go to one of the WR leader’s house for a game and dessert night! Our group got to the house early so we just waited in the car. We noticed an elderly man across the street, watching our car. (I mean we probably looked ridiculous, a car full of girls, with 4 squeezed into the backseat). He was watering his lawn and was pretending to spray our car, so we all laughed and Klancy (who later was dubbed as our team’s ‘wild card,’) got out of the car and walked over to him. They were talking and the rest of us were laughing.

A few minutes went by and the man’s wife came out. Klancy began talking to the wife, and the man walked over to us! He introduced himself as, “Goode, Bill Goode.” He said that was his wife, Bev. He sang our names and was very sweet. We noticed, while talking to Bill, that Klancy was praying with Bev. After prayer, they both walked over and talked to all of us. At that point, it was time for us to go inside for the game/dessert party and Bill and Bev needed to eat dinner.

After we said our goodbyes, Klancy told us that Bill is fighting Alzheimer’s and probably wouldn’t remember us. We were saddened by this, but then thought, in their honor that we should use their name for our team name! Hence, “It Is Goode,” was formed!

Now introducing, “It Is Goode:”

Rachel (http://rachelstewart.theworldrace.org/)

Rachel is our 23 year old of the group! She works at a golf course when she is not doing WR stuff and absolutely loves it! Rachel is our team’s treasurer! She is an observer, patient, and very kind. She is quiet, but I appreciate that and believe I will be able to learn a lot from her! I cannot wait to get to know her better and have our friendship grow immensely! Rachel is still in need of $9,512 until she is fully funded and $2,495 before she is able to LEAVE WITH US IN JANUARY. She needs that $2,495 BEFORE DECEMBER 16th!! If you feel led, please help Rachel!

Klancy (http://klancybaker.theworldrace.org/)

Klancy is actually the first person on my squad who I had a really deep/awesome conversation with at the airport while we were waiting for the WR busses/vans to take us to TC! Klancy is our lone 21 year old. She is full of wisdom and words beyond her years and has a beautiful heart for the Lord. She shared with me that she just wants to be stripped of everything so she can focus on Jesus. She is our “Unsung Hero,” squad representative. This means that since she is on our team, our team is given a city and we are to pray over that city and find connections for future world racers. Pretty neat, huh? Klancy is still in need of $12,722 until she is fully funded & $5,705 before she is able to LEAVE WITH US IN JANUARY. She needs that $5,705 BEFORE DECEMBER 16th!! If you feel led, please help Klancy!

Jordan (http://jordaneking.theworldrace.org/)

Jordan is the other 27 year old, ’89 babies unite! We actually celebrated her birthday at TC on the day we found out who our teams were and the night we were able to spend outside of camp! It was really special and an awesome bonding experience! Jordan has a history of traveling/living overseas (lived in Spain for a while). She is super genuine and a really great person to talk to when you are in a bind! I am very excited that God put us on a team together! It’s going to be amazing! Jordan is still in need of $3,769 until she is fully funded! She is already able to leave with us in January having raised over $10,000! If you feel led, please help Jordan!

Abby (http://abbythornburg.theworldrace.org/)

Abby is our fearless Team Leader! She is our 22 year old nurse! She is a fighter too! Abby’s knee dislocated on our last full day at TC and was such a good sport for the rest of the time, learning very quickly how to use crutches! She is very much a prayer warrior and is always in tune with the Lord and the Holy Spirit! I am very excited to grow more in my faith just from being around Abby! (Also, I expressed a sigh of relief when I found out one of the only nurses on our squad is on my team because y’all know how injury-prone I am!) Abby is still in need of $10,584 until she is fully funded & $3,567 before she is able to LEAVE WITH US IN JANUARY. She needs that $3,567 BEFORE DECEMBER 16th!! If you feel led, please help Abby!

Janet (http://janetheismann.theworldrace.org/)

A cool story about Janet is that we actually corresponded a bit before TC so I was excited to be with her in person! We are very similar when it comes to our interests! Janet was a teacher in Korea (so another well-traveled teammate) and now is a lifeguard! She is our worship coordinator, it is up to her to make sure we are having intentional worship time together as a team weekly! Janet and I were matched FROM THE BEGINNING of team scenarios! Our training staff knew we were sisters from the beginning! Janet will be celebrating the big 3-0 on the race next year! I cannot wait to do life with her next year! Janet is still in need of $10,177 until she is fully funded & $3,160 before she is able to LEAVE WITH US IN JANUARY. She needs that $3,160 BEFORE DECEMBER 16th!! If you feel led, please help Janet!

These girls already have all of my heart! I gained not just 5 teammates, but 5 sisters at TC! We already know how to laugh, eat, and are all motivated to have workouts together (Jordan will be our fitness coach!) My prayers are SO BIG for these ladies, I really believe God has some special plans for us! We had not 1, but 2 trainers say how they just sense this deep, spiritual level that our team has! God is definitely going to use that and we will be able to do many things with it next year! I am beyond excited for our team! Please pray for each one of us in these next 2 months! Satan has already been attacking other members of our squad. Please pray for strength, protection, and growth until we can be our solid unit of, “It Is Goode,” together again!

God Bless all of you! ALSO, feel free to SUBSCRIBE to my teammates blogs as well!
