Coming into Phuket to grab our missing team member for our new team, Rosa (not a new team member for me!) wasn’t an accident. As many of you may know, Thailand has a lot of places you can go – a lot of islands, and even a lot of known cities on the mainland as well. Before heading toward Thailand, we got together as a team to pray about where to head to once there. Well, we HAD to go to Phuket – God had already had that planned out for us before we could even start to activate our minds, ears, and brains in what He had for us here in Thailand.

But why Phuket, some of my teammates wondered. A lot of them have always wanted to visit Bangkok, Chang Mai, and other major places within Thailand. Personally, I was just so pumped about all the new people I would learn to live alongside that I didn’t mind where we were headed at all in the beginning! Phuket was an Island to my knowledge; my mind set was “LEGGOO!”

Once we got to Phuket, we knew we were meant to meet up with friends who were doing work away in Kata. These friends are fellow travelers from the U.S. that we met during our debrief in Malaysia (so the beginning of Month 4, April). They’re a couple, a cute one I might add, and they actually like us haha. They had been traveling alongside one of our teams the whole month of April. We saw it as a guided hand from the Lord, Thailand indeed is pretty huge, He ended up putting us in the same area, no coincidences.

It had turned out that the girl went through some tough stuff our first couple of days there. I label it “tough stuff” because again, it’s not MY story to share and she’s become such a dear friend of mine I don’t feel right sharing it. It involved her home life and a lot of heart ache and having friends surrounding her during the process was much needed. Not just friends to cry with, but friends that cared enough to pray with her, to ask her the questions, to support them as a unit. Our God is a crazy one indeed, but continuing to see that my life and the plans within it are not nearly coincidences is still mesmerizing to me. He cares about us as His children SOO much that He sent random people from around the world to be here with His daughter that He adores so that she could feel a glimpse of that adoration. Like wait, WHAT?!

We stayed with the couple until their last scheduled day in Phuket until they moved on to Bangkok without us (we were planning on seeing them in Bangkok at the end of the month but now they’re home with you guys in the U.S. but continued prayers for them and their futures). We then moved to a different area of Phuket called Patong. Patong is known for its party life, tourist beach, and the ladies and my golly do I have stories to share with you. THAT right there my friend is where I’ll leave you hangin’. Stay tuned this week for the second half of what’s been goin’ on here. And yes, I just cliff hung you 🙂

God Bless
