Isaiah 49… to all you who are weary and lost.

Isaiah 49… to all who have a free heart and huge dreams.

Isaiah 49… to the travelers.

Isaiah 49… to the weak and dishevelled.

Isaiah 49… to you.

It was written, “…Before I was born the Lord called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name.” (Isaiah 49:1) Now you would think, how can someone know my name before I was even born? Jesus calls each and every one of us by name. He knows every fiber of your being. Where you think you can run you are sadly mistaken. He is calling you. Calling, reaching and once He has got you, there is nothing that you can do that can make Him let you go. God is calling you, calling us. “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth…” (Isaiah 40:28) God calls us to go. Sit? NO GO! Go up on a high mountain He says. Lift up your voices, louder than you have ever let it ring before. Have zero fear and let everyone know why you are here. Why you are always “going” and why you have something a little bit different pumping through your veins.

For we are servants of the High King. We do the dirty work but only because we know where we will end up. Having the ability to accomplish so much together, as a team. With each gift God bestowed upon you is used. Each difference that is found, each strength and weakness. As if we are the gears on a machine. Each gear and piece is different and used for a different purpose, but in the end you can see a beautiful flawless piece of machinery working as one. Working to accomplish one set goal. For us that goal is Christ. Go out He calls to us. In Matthew chapter four verse 19 Jesus says this, “Come, follow me, and I will send you out to fish for people.”

This is how I picture it, the more the merrier. God wants us to go out and be “fishers of men” so that we can have one huge Jesus Party when we all get up to Heaven one day. I think it would be fun. But that is just me… all I know is that I am tired of sitting at home doing nothing but watching Netflix and finding excuses. God is calling me. He is calling us. So let’s go.
