Luke 19:45-48 NIV
45 When Jesus entered the temple courts, he began to drive out those who were selling. 46 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be a house of prayer’a]”>[a]; but you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’b]”>[b]”
47 Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. 48 Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.
What I love about this passage is that it shows us what to do when the enemy tries to kill. Verses 47 and 48 says that the religious scholars, priests, and leaders were trying to kill him, BUT they couldn’t BECAUSE the people HUNG on his words.
DO NOT allow the enemy to kill your joy, peace, promise, faith, or anything else. Hang onto the words of God.
What are the words of God? Here are just a few!
- The Joy of the Lord is your Strength (Nehemiah 8:10)
- This is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24)
- God is Faithful and a Promise Keeper (Deuteronomy 7:9)
- His plans for you are good and is not second best to anything. They are the best for you. (Jeremiah 29:11)
- God is a Provider and WILL meet all of your needs (this is one that I had to hang on to this year; I am now fully funded!) (Philippians 4:19)
- He gives peace that we can’t understand. (Phillippians 4:7)
- He makes a way when there is no way. (Isaiah 43:16)
- And whatever else He has told you.
Please, please, please HANG onto His words, because if you do you won’t be let down.
Personal Updates:
I am fully funded! Praise God! Through people like you, God has brought in $16,961 in just 9 months! This month we experienced team changes, and I became a Team Leader of Rooted in Truth (my new team). These people are so awesome and Spirit-Led. Next month (January) I will be leading a new team for Manistry Month. Manistry is when all of the men on a squad are placed on 1 team to do ministry together for a month. So prayers that God will continue to do great things will be greatly appreciated.
This next half of the race, please pray with me that God will continue to increase my dependence on Him. Love Y’all!

A few of the students that I was able to teach and have fun with at Village of English School in Cambodia.

The sunset as we were riding a boat from a village that we preached the gospel in. This is beautiful, but we as humans are still his greatest creation!
