This is a little late. My apologizes.
As I prepared for my first mission trip stop at Columbia, there are mixed emotions. In one sense I want to RUN! Truth is I do not have it all “together.” Let’s see…… Flying makes me nervous, like really nervous, being away from my family hurts at times. What am I going to say to these kids when I arrive? Truth is I have nothing to say, except what Jesus has to offer. God gave me this verse while flying today: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” -Corinthians 1:19.
What a powerful verse. God is in control, what earthly wisdom cannot do, God can.
God has me and will protect the team as we minister to street kids, in an area over taken by gangs. Please pray for us. I know Jesus is Emmanuel, he is God with us.
