Hi guys!

My name is Brittany Jackson. I’m 22 and was born in Vail, CO. and am a Mountain baby. I love God’s creation so much! I grew up with my mom and dad in the Vail area. My mom was a preschool teacher and my dad does property management. I also now have two step parents. The Lord blessed me with having a sister for 2 weeks when I was in middle school. She ended up going to spend time with the Lord. I have faced some difficult things growing up, but the Lord has taught me a lot through them and has given me the strength to get through them. He is SO faithful! I grew up in a Christian home. I believe that I accepted the Lord into my heart when I was 6 but didn’t really own my faith till I was in 8th grade. I started reading the Bible every night before I went to bed. It started coming alive to me and I remember thinking “this isn’t just a book, it’s alive”. This transformed my life and my walk with the Lord. I started attending a Calvary Chapel on my own and the lord just started teaching me about many things though his word. I couldn’t get enough of it!

I graduated from High School a semester early, worked and snowboarded then went to live in Argentina for two and a half months with some friends from our church. While I was there I got to work in the slums a few days a week with the women and children and just got to love on them and teach them about God. I loved it, and I miss everyone there!

I currently attend Colorado State University and will graduate in May, 2016. As a freshman at CSU, I got plugged into a campus ministry called the Navigators and was heavily involved for two years. I then transitioned into a Church called Antioch. I have been there for 2 years now and love their mission to: Love God, Love and Fight for Family and Initiate with a broken and hurting world. I have been learning a lot about community and what it means to have an intimate relationship with the Lord vs. just head knowledge. It’s been hard but great!

Last year I heard about the World Race from a previous racer. I was very curious about the race after that. I had thought about doing the race, but eventually ended up shelving it for a while because I was afraid of many things about it. I ended up asking God what he thought about it over Christmas break and felt like he was giving me the YES to do it. I then applied for the expedition route. I liked the challenge that this route presented, and wanted to see how the Lord was moving in Asia and the Middle East and the refugee camps. I have heard many stories of revival in these areas. I also liked that it would be a smaller team. I felt like the Lord told me I was going to be accepted, and that I would be doing the race next year. I decided I was going to walk in that direction till he told me otherwise. I was accepted!

I’m excited for what the Lord is going to do in and through us next year! I’m stoked to just love on people in other countries, serve them and watch how the Lord meets them!
