Where has all the time gone seems like a common question I have faced recently. However, as soon as I begin to ponder it I am overwhelmed more by how much God has done in such little time that 11 months really is…
It is incredible to look back at where the last 10 months has gone and I am currently at a loss for words. But I will be writing very soon a blog about it.
We are officially leaving Albania tomorrow and headed to Barcelona, Spain for our last month of the World Race! The month in Albania has been one I didn't honestly think I would experience on the Race. We live in a church with WiFi, an AC unit, and we have tons of coffee shops within walking distance. And that's just the material blessings!
This month we have partnered with a church here in Durres, Albania and we essentially became an extended part of the church staff. We have lead devotionals and sermons. We cleaned/painted around the church and daycare ministry. We hosted a VBS for the local children with the youth ministry leading the way for worship, teaching and translation. We had 6 kids give thier lives to Christ!!
Today our team did house visits to pray and encourage the poor, widowed, and fatherless in the church here. It was heartbreaking, but powerful to see the faith they had. Tonight we are doing evangalism in the neighborhood! Please be in prayer for us as we bring the Hope of the Gospel to those who have never heard it before! For those of you who don't know, Albania is mostly Musilm, despite most people not actively practicing, they still consider themselves to be Muslim.
Overall, the ministry has been great and I have been really blessed to meet the young people here that are all very involved in serving and community with eachother. Albania has taught me lessons that will continue to be revealed for months to come.
